Strange Day Yesterday

by janet on February 29, 2008

Thank God It’s Friday!!! Never have those words been more true than today. I had a very frustrating day yesterday. It started with my 4 year old just giving me an all around hard time about everything from ber breakfast choices to her clothing. Once I got the kids off to school I needed to head over to the elementary school to volunteer. I am sitting there at the school making copies for my daughters teacher and my phone rings. Well it was husband who was giving me an all around hard time (wonder where the 4 year old gets it) about getting in touch with the "dirt guy" who was supposed to be delivering several loads of fill to our house. So I fuss at him and give him the what for only to have him say "Well you could have at least told me Happy Birthday before reaming me!" Oh CRAP! I forgot his birthday completely. So I rush from the school and make arrangements for dinner and a cake and ice cream. Whew problem solved. New problem, he has to work really late. So I go and pick up dinner and while eating my phone rings. I answer it and am on the phone maybe 3 minutes. As I hang up I hear the kids laughing uncontrollably. I know this is not going to be good. As i walk into the dining room I realize that my two youngest (3 & 4 years old) have been seeing who get catsup covered french fries to stick to my ceiling! Normally a bad thing but not terrible. For me it was terrible because my ceilings are 13 foot ceilings and they have really good arms. I now have catsup marks on my ceiling and I have no idea how I will ever get them down.

Janet I hope you don’t mind me getting a chuckle at fries on the ceiling. I hope your husband had a good birthday and you got away with forgetting.
