Do you hear the song playing in your head???? Well I have this HORRIBLE allergy to the stuff. I don’t even have to touch the stuff to get it. If my husband touches and it gets on his clothing and then I take his clothing and put it in the washer I will get it. So sure enough he was clearing weeds last weekend and yesterday I popped up with poison ivy on my arm in the exact area where I would have been carrying a load of clothers for the washing machine. Sigh! It usually takes forever for me to get rid of this stuff and it spreads so easily. So today I am walking around with long sleeves and I keep cleaning it with cotton balls and covering it so it won’t ooze onto anything else. Anybody have good relief or cures for this stuff? I have actually been to the hospital twice because of it and had to have steroid shots to get rid of it more than I want to remember.

Try Zanfil. It’s over-the-counter and you use it to wash the affected area. It works really fast and is the only thing that will actually get rid of the poison ivy oil on your skin. It’s expensive, but worth it.

Oh man that sounds terrible. My mom was always one to do calamyne lotion (I think that’s it the pinky stuff) all over the affected area and benedryl.
