25th Anniversary French Quarter Festival

March 20th, 2008 · 1 Comment

One of the perks of being born and raised so close to New Orleans is that there always seems to be a festival going on. I have been to many of them including the Jazz & Heritage Festival, the Gumbo Festival and the Alligator Festival. One that I have never attended is the French Quarter Festival. This year is the 25th anniversary of this festival and I have decided to try it out. I have several friends coming in to town and we are going to check out what this festival has to offer. It runs from April 11 to April 13, 2008. This festival includes food and music that represents the best of what the French Quarter (Vieux Carre) has to offer. It is spread out over many blocks and neighborhoods. There are musical acts performing on different stages throughout the French Quarter. There are booths located around the festival area that represent different New Orleans Restaurants. I can’t wait to try out this wonderful New Orleans tradition and enjoy a sampling of New Orleans food, music and beverages.

that is one thing NOLA knows how to do: throw a great festival. Let me know how this one goes. I use to love the crawfish festival.
