So I wrote a while back that we were going to be starting to landscape soon. We poured the cement slab and driveway about 2 weeks ago and that came out fabulous. The only issue was that there was a six inch drop from the slab to the stepping stones that we had between the driveway and front steps. We decided to take those out and also remove the bottom step and add pavers from the driveway to the front steps. My husband started the project on Friday and it is now complete. It looks awesome. We bought pavers from Home Depot for .40 cents each and they look fabulous. He installed them using gravel and sand base so that they are all level. He then filled in the cracks with sand and it looks like it was made for that area. Once we put the walkway in it left and area between the outside edge of the walkway and the edge of the driveway in the shape of an L. We decided that garden stones could be used to create a curved wall to put a garden there. We added a little sod in areas and WOW is all I can say. I am so excited now and love to sit on my swing and look at my front yard. Next time we do the fence that will take my 1 acre lot into 2- 1/2 acre parcels. One will be my beautifully landscaped backyard and the other will be my husband area where he has his boat, barn and horses and word shed.
