With all of the hype in the media about the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the group that was taken from their compound in Texas I thought that perhaps some of you may be interested in reading some material about them. I found a book that has been released by Carolyn Jessop who was married to Merrill Jessop who oversees the ranch in Texas and is an officer of the church. She is now divorced from Jessop and speaks out nationally on the issues that are associated with the sect and their practices. According to Jessop the sect uses their religion to practice control tactics on the women and children of the compound to keep them in line and achieve the results they are looking for. The reviews for this book have been good so far. I would say that Ms. Jessop will make out like a bandit off of the recent happenings in Texas although she had nothing to do with them happening. This is a great way to find out what her life was like before leaving the sect. It is also a way to get some truth as to what these women and children have really been leaving since her ex-husband is the one who is responsible for running the compound.
