There are few things in the world that I would want with me on a desert island. One of them would be books. I would die if I had to live without a book to read. The other is my boots. I love my boots! I got them at Cavender’s Boot City when I was driving through Texas many years ago. They are a tan Buckskin and after all this time they are so soft and cozy.
When I walked in to Cavender’s I was shocked! I have never seen such a big western store with so much merchandise. The prices were great and the stock was plentiful. It has been many years now though and my boots need to be replaced. Since I am not going to be making that trip again any time soon I checked it out and sure enough there is a Cavender’s online. www.cavenders.com Can you hear the angels singing???
So now my only problem is which pair of their handmade cowboy boots should I buy? I have looked through their stock and there are so many nice pairs. In the past I would have bought lace up Ropers because I wear them out to the barn and riding and also to go out. Now that I am older I want a pair that I can wear to "dress up" maybe some with a colorful toe or a colorful upper. They have light blue ones and red ones and pink ones. So many choices! How will I ever decide? I will check back in when I make the purchase and let you know what I pick. While I am at it I think I deserve a new book too.

You know that is the one “Texas” thing I have yet to buy since moving here. No cowboy boots for this girl but they could be really fun.

Yea. This Texas girl doesn’t own a pair of boots either. I wish they weren’t so expensive I might just buy a pair just for concerts.
