Two Bobbies

I was doing some research on children’s books that are New Orleans themed. I came across this book and I immediately thought it was one of the cutest books I have ever seen.

This book is about two animals a dog named Bobbi and a cat named Bob Cat. They are affectionately called The Two Bobbies. The Two Bobbies live in New Orleans and are there when Hurricane Katrina hits. This is the story of the storm and its aftermath through the eyes of two animals. I haven’t yet purchased this book but it is the first one we are looking for at the library today and if it isn’t available I will be ordering it for the kids. What a wonderful way to tell the story in a way that children will understand. The art work is beautiful and Jean Cassels really captures the story of these two amazing pets.
