The Myrtles Plantation: St. Francisville, LA

May 30th, 2008 · 1 Comment

One of my favorite places to visit in Louisiana is a plantation house called The Myrtles. It is located in St. Fancisville, LA and it has been labeled the most haunted house in the United States. I have visited this house many times and I love the history of house as well as the ghost stories.

I was looking around today for possible books that I could read about the home. I am interested in finding out more information about its history and its ghost occurrences. The first book that I came across was actually written by the owners of The Myrtles. The book is "The Myrtles Plantation: The True Story of America’s Most Haunted House" and it was written by Frances Kermeen. I can’t wait to get this one and see what stories she has to add to the ones told on the tour of the house.

Oh I remember my trip to the Myrtles. It was so “scary” when I went with the Girl Scouts back in the day.
