Here is the dilemma we face each week. On Sundays we get up and go to church and my husband refuses to wear shorts. After church we like to go off and do things as a family but we are an outdoor family. It is easy enough for the kids to change clothes when we leave church but my husband refuses to do this unless we go home first. This means he either throws off my day by making us go home to change or he wears his khaki pants to the zoo and complains about the heat the whole time. Well I don’t have to worry about that now. I found something called tactical pants which are actually made for military and law enforcement people. These pants are made so that the bottom of the legs zip off. They can be worn as pants to church and then when we leave he can unzip the legs and have on shorts for the rest of the day. Best of all the pants are made of a fabric that is lighter weight than normal khaki pants and it is called Ripstop which means that it is rip and stain resistant. How cool is that? I love that it will save me time and fights and also that they will hold up better than the normal pants he wears. Add to that the fact that they have 7 pockets and I see a wardrobe of these for him for our Disney trip. We can toss the legs into our backpack for eating in restaurants or when it gets cooler at night. The pockets will help us cut back on the amount of stuff we carry in our backpacks. The site says that these pants get an A+ from the company. I am sure they are biased but if they work half as well as they claim to I am still ahead. Cool idea and who would have thought I could find something useful at a site for police and military!
