Ghosts and spirits and hauntings OH MY!

June 12th, 2008 · No Comments

So I have admitted before that I have a side of my personality that loves to be frightened. I guess it is the reason why The Tower of Terror is my favorite ride at Disney. I love to watch scary movies and to read scary books. I like to visit haunted places and hear stories about ghosts.

Last year I purchased a book that was purely for fun. It is called Real Ghosts, Restless Spirits, and Haunted Places and it was written by Brad Steiger. I don’t read this book regularly but I keep it around and read one or two of the stories whenever I am in the mood. It is a really big book at around 600 pages. It contains stories about every possible ghost and haunting relating thing you can imagine. There are separate chapters and stories for house hauntings, church hauntings, haunted vehicles, spirits, and ghost lights just to name a few. I have read through and there is a reference story for most of the ghostly places I have ever read about and many many more that I had never heard of.

I haven’t finished this book. As a matter of fact, I haven’t even finished half of it. I have read many of the stories but it really isn’t a book that you can sit down and read straight through. I love it, just not enough to spend a month of my life on it. I recommend it for people who have an interest in the paranormal. If I remember correctly I got mine from my Quality Paperback Book club but I am sure that it is available many places. Enjoy!
