Janet’s Book Nook

I pre-ordered the latest version of the Unofficial Guide to WDW for 2009 several weeks ago and yesterday when I got my mail it was there! I am so excited to read the latest. I haven’t gotten one since 2007 and I have to say I love the writing style of this author. This book is a huge volume of text. I love the way that the author warns you of this right off of the back. This is one of the most comprehensive set of guide books you can find. I will give you guys a full review once I finished reading it but I wanted to give you guys a heads up that it was out.

Off the top I can tell you one thing I found disappointing. This is the book for 2009 and it is already out of date with regards to the Disney Dining Plan. Disney released a couple of weeks ago their plans for 2009 and they are changed in quite a large way. They have added another level of dining plan and changed the prices of the others. I would have much preferred them release the book a month or so later and have it be up to date with all of Disney’s releases. August in the prime time for Disney to release package changes and prices every year so with a little planning they could have easily held off on the release a month and included all of Disney’s August releases so that the book wouldn’t be out of date on certain items before the year even starts.

Otherwise I have so far not been  let down in my hopes for some fun and light reading that is focused on having a fabulous Disney vacation. Enjoy!
