On September 16, 2008 the book written by Lynne Spears with the title Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World will be released. This book is Lynne’s way of trying to explain where her family went wrong and what she is doing now to try to regain them. She discusses the areas she feels she went wrong in raising her children. She also talks about her attempts at trying to bring her family back together and give them some sort of sense of family and normalcy. Can a family so entrenched in the media ever really be normal? I doubt it but it is nice that Lynne wants to be heard. I also doubt that everything can be blamed on Lynne or her husband or even on her children. There were so many factors that played together to make this family a train wreck. I don’t think any one of those factors alone would have taken them through this journey of success and pain. Their highs and lows have been equally deep. It will be interesting to see what Lynne has to say so I will probably grab this one. If for no other reason than she is a Louisiana girl who made it big.
