Just a few short months ago my family had a single computer and it was a desktop. Then in February my husband bought me a laptop and now it seems we can’t look back. I was considering getting just a new monitor for my daughter for the old desk top that we had. Now that I have done some research online I am considering just getting a laptop for the kids to share. A laptop could be used in any room and I wouldn’t have to have a desk set up to hold the computer. I could monitor the children’s use of the computer by allowing them to use it right next to me. We also could bring the laptop with us other places and use it as a DVD player for car rides and traveling. Now I just need to decide what kind I want. I have always been a fan of HP but I have to say that I saw some really amazing notebooks from Sony Vaio. I think we need one that is smaller and more portable than the laptop I have now. However, it will not serve its purpose if the screen is too small since we want to be able to watch movies on it also. I think we need to shop around a bit more before making a decision but at least I feel like we are on the right track for a decision.

I bought a HP Pavilion dv6000 this summer and LOVE it!!! I am thinking of buying Becka one for her birthday (shhh!) and then maybe Cameron one for Christmas. If I can find some good deals…..Saw your link goes to buy.com…..I tried them this summer and was NOT happy at all with their service.
