Exercising and Dieting

by janet on October 26, 2008

It has now been a week since I started my exercise routine and dieting. I have found the exercise to be fairly easy. The problem I have is with late afternoon snacking. I do well with healthy eating all day long but in the afternoon I get this incredible craving for something sweet. I was thinking that perhaps if I were to order one of these weight loss supplements like slim 10 or something similar that I could take them in the middle of the day and get me through until dinner time. I don’t know if this is the answer but I have tried other more natural ways of curving the appetite like eating a handful or nuts or snacking on carrot sticks. I just find myself with a headache and craving chocolate (which I usually hate) and then I eat all the wrong things. I hate diets and I hate cravings. I wish it came naturally to me like it does for some people but it just doesn’t.

Try Slimfast Optima Peanut Butter Crunch snacks (I swear, this is not an ad or a paid endorsement) – if you like Butterfingers. It’s like a Butterfinger with vitamins, and it actually satisfies me where regular chocolate just leaves me wanting more, more, more. 120 calories per bar, but I think it helps more than it hurts (and that’s HALF the calories of a regular sized candy bar).

Also, try eating healthy – not dieting. Go join Sparkpeople.com and tell them HEALTHYWRITER sent you. (I get points, but no money, for referrals – so I don’t really care if you tell them that or not, but do look me up and add me as a friend. We’re in this together!)
