I forgot that I never told you guys about our Halloween night this year. We were invited to a party down the street at the home of some new friends we met. They have a daughter who is just 2 weeks younger than my oldest child and we have been spending time with them since they moved in some time last year. This is the guy I told you had the huge garage in the back of his house.
Our friends spent days preparing their yard and garage for this party. They created a haunted trail on the property behind their garage. All of the men dressed in costumes and hid along the trail to scare the kids. They had black lights and fog machines everywhere.
When we walked up the firs thing I noticed was that the garage that is usually filled with car and Harley parts had been transformed in to the ultimate party room. Black sheets covered the walls and fog machines made it spooky. They had food everywhere and drinks for both the little and big people. We met there and then took all of the kids trick or treating in the subdivision about a mile away. We rode the kids up there on a wagon on the back of a 4-wheeler.
I can honestly say we had the best time. My kids are still talking about how much fun they had. We were out until after midnight which we haven’t done in a long time but it was so worth it. Next year we are going to do something similar but include the whole neighborhood and extend the trail behind everyone’s house to make it better.
