Since Kaiser is no longer with us, we decided to adopt another needy German Shephard. We found the German Shephard Rescue of Central Florida and talked with the president of the organization at length. We visited one of the kennels where the dogs are kept and picked out a very shy, approximately 3 year old black and tan. We figured he’d be hard to place since basically no one can near him. We brought him home 2 weeks later. We had to wait for his clean bill of health and to be neutered. Hes now becoming part of our family, slowly. Some days hes a lot more skittish then others. Hes finally eating, though hes afraid of the kitchen so I have to lead him in there to eat. He loves to run and play outside, and at times its diffcult to get him back in the house. Hes very head strong, but sweet, and he loves the grandchildren. Its going to take some time, but he’ll eventually come to realize what anyone that knows us knows….hes now living in the lap of luxury.
