The other night my husband and I made a late night run to the pharmacy. When we came out, we noticed a little kitten running around, looking scared and lost and hungry. We tried several times to get her to come to us, but she was too scared to let us touch her. She would drop to the ground about 3 feet away from us and roll around. When we would try to grab her, she would run away, but not very far. I decided to sit down on the curb and coax her over to me. Once she got close enough for me to scruff her, I grabbed her and pulled her into me. When she was against my body, she seemed to relax quite a bit. We didn’t know what to do with her, we couldn’t leave her there, so we brought her home.
We already have a house full of dogs and cats, plus the horses and chickens, and we really don’t need another one. She is so cute though with her huge brown eyes and her very very long tail. My husband has never had a kitten, and is so smitten with her, the way she plays up to him and looks at him, that I think she is going to be a lifer in our house. We have her separated from the other animals. We did however let her out today to play with a laser light for a bit, but we don’t trust Thor or the male cat with her at this point.
We’ve named her Alie, shor for Alien because she looks like E.T with those big eyes. She seems to be settling in quite well. This week she will get her shots and dewormed, and then I guess we’ll see from there what her fate will be with us. She really is a delight and so much fun to play with. Heres a pic of her with her special pal, a stuffed kitty that looks just like her.

awwww thank goodness you were able to get her and give her a home. I feel so bad for all the abandoned animals
but am so thankful for people like all of us who love them and want to help. Good luck
