My husband always buys DVDs and video games instead of renting. I still haven’t figured out why he does this, other then he is too lazy to drive the extra 5 minutes to Blockbuster. Once my husband beats a video game (and he usually does this very fast), he never looks at it again. He usually watches a movie once and then it gathers dust. We have both bought seasons of TV shows that we wanted to catch up on, but we rarely go back to watch them a second time.

I had thought of getting rid of some games and movies on EBay before, but that was a lot more work and separate shipments for me, and it didn’t seem worth the small amount of money I could receive. Not to mention some movies never sell and I would have to still pay the listing fees. I would have liked to get some money for the stuff just taking up space on my shelves, but I just never got around to it. Then I discovered SecondSpin.com, a site that buys and sells used DVDs, CDs, and Video Games.

I first sold movies to Second Spin a couple years ago, and every time I realize we are building a large collection of DVDs and games I log onto their site and see how much I can get. If you want to sell movies, games, or music you just visit SecondSpin.com, click sell to us, and search for your product by UPC code or keyword. Second Spin will tell you how much they are paying for that item, and you have the option to add it to a cart, or skip it and search for another product. Not every movie I own is always worth selling at the time, but the price they are paying it based on their inventory and the current demand, so check back later if you don’t like the price on a title. For the most part I have gotten $3-$10 for DVDs and CDs, $15-25 for seasons of TV shows and $15-25 for video games.

I have been putting together a shipment for this week and I have already added $200 to my cart for a few seasons and video games. It is a great way to get a little extra cash for the things you are not using anymore, and it is very easy. After you have added everything to your cart that you wish to sell, you will complete a checkout and will be given instructions for mailing your items. You only have to make 1 shipment, and Second Spin reimburses you for the cost of media mail shipping. Mail your box to Second Spin and you will receive a Paypal payment within 3 days of your box being delivered or a check within 7 days. It couldn’t be any easier or any faster.

I have sold to Second Spin time and time again and have always been pleased. So if you have some DVDs, CDs, or Video Games collecting dust in your house, why not get a little extra cash to help with your holiday shopping? What are you waiting for, visit SecondSpin.com right now and get paid. Don’t forget they have used DVDs, CDs, and Video games for sale for great prices, and they offer a guarantee that their products are in excellent condition and will work flawlessly. You can find many games and movies for the lowest prices around. Check them out today!

I love to shop! In fact I should probably go to shop-a-holics anonymous. I shop almost daily in some shape or form, and I rarely “window shop.” So how do I shop so much and still be able to go on a nice family vacation without having any debt? I let my shopping pay for itself. Warning, these tips may make you shop more!

For starters, when I shop I shop through Sunshine Rewards! Sunshine Rewards pays me cash back for the shopping I have always done, at the stores I already shopped at. I only wish I had discovered Sunshine Rewards sooner. I think back to all the shopping I had done at Best Buy, Children’s Place, Target and more before I learned about Sunshine Rewards and it just seems like a waste. Not only has Sunshine Rewards given me cash back for my shopping, but they have found me some great discount codes and introduced me to some great new merchants. I have also been able to earn a little extra money by taking surveys on the Sunshine Rewards site. In just a few short months I earned $500 in Disney giftcards. You can get “cash” back, but I prefer giftcards that allow me to save for my vacation without being tempted to spend the money on more shopping.

Secondly, when I shop or even pay bills I always use a rewards credit card. I never spend more on the card then I can pay off in the month, or the rewards would be eliminated because of interest. My prefered card for shopping and paying bills is my Disney Visa Rewards card. I have gotten 1-5% back for my purchases and payments. I earned $575 in Disney rewards dollars over the past year to spend on my vacation. Both Sunshine Rewards and my Disney Visa allow me to save for my vacation without actually saving. To get your own Disney Visa visit Disney Rewards Visa Enter card member ID # 17269183 to get a $25 Disney Gift card.

Finally, I get paid to review the purchases I make for Expo TV. Anyone can make reviews for Expo, all you need is a video camera and a product you have purchased. Your review can be positive or negative, you just need to give your honest opinion and demonstrate the product when possible. I have reviewed everything from Toys to Shampoo and Laptops to Shoes and always get paid at least $10 per review I upload. To get paid for your own video reviews visit Expo TV.

When I pay for something like shampoo through Sunshine Rewards using my Disney Visa and then reviewing it for Expo I actually make more money off my purchase then I spent. Talk about letting your shopping work for you. I do shop a lot, but at least I am smart about letting my shopping earn money for me. This allows me to still enjoy a great vacation every year without building debt. In today’s poor economy, why not let your shopping earn you some extra cash!
